Bangor is one of Kitsap County's premier catering and conference facilities offering the perfect setting for your next event. Adorned with ten crystal chandeliers and a platform stage this venue presents a formal appearance with prime functionality. The full-service bar in the foyer is a great area for guests to mingle and to start your event.

With a variety of room options, the Plaza Ballroom can accommodate up to 550 for a sit down event and 800 for more casual events. Or the ballroom can be broken down into seven individual rooms for more intimate gatherings or breakout rooms for conferences. Other amenities we offer include a dance floor, a full compliment of audio-visual equipment, microphones, podiums, white boards and easels and more. And if we don’t have it, we can assist in finding it for you.

Bangor Plaza Conference & Catering Center
Bangor Plaza Conference and Catering Center is centrally located in the “core” of Naval Base Kitsap. The plaza is located directly across the street from the Navy Exchange (Starbucks), and Commissary. The Base Fitness Center, Theater, Bowling Center are located right next door. In addition, the Visitors’ Quarters is located across the parking lot to the left of the Plaza and has the following accommodations:

• 39 Single Rooms $30.00
• A large conference table is conveniently located on the main floor for use by the guests.
• A project will be completed in FY08 to add a business center with all the amenities.

Bangor Plaza has a full service restaurant, the Inside Out Café, on the main floor, which is open for lunch Monday- Friday and dinner Wed-Saturday. The Inside Out Lounge is open evenings and hosts many events. Also, located within the facility are the @EEZ LIBERTY Center, ITT, and Library.

The Conference Catering Center is located on the second floor of the facility and has the capacity to accommodate up to 600 people. For events up to 1000 people, the lower level can be added and is fully connected with audio and video feeds. The current charge for a conference is $250.00 based on 50 people with an additional charge of $75.00 applied for each room section added. Conference fees include tables, chairs, setup, linens, water service, coffee and tea. A technical operator can be provided for an additional charge for $50 per hour, if requested by customer.

Sound/Light/Acoustics/Video
Bangor Plaza is a multi-media conference center. The facility allows several different events to run simultaneously, using the latest technology available. This equipment is easy to operate, durable, and provides state of the art delivery to the patrons of the facility. A distributed audio system has been installed throughout the common areas and conference rooms for background audio. A multi-media rack enclosure is installed in each of the three main rooms and has: DVD player, VCR, CD player, power/surge protector, rack mounted PC, amplifier, audio mixer, IC RGBHV switcher, distribution amplifiers and two wireless microphones. There is an input plate installed in each of these rooms which will provide connectivity for microphones, computer (with computer 1/8” audio) and stereo audio with composite video. The rooms are able to be utilized for audio/video from any of these five areas thus combining the rooms. VTC set-ups are available upon request. There are four laptop computer hook ups in the Ballroom.

There is a stage in the front of the USS Ohio Room that provides a great focal point for any event. A large 180” tensioned projection screen provides a nice flat viewing surface. A new data projector has been installed using a recessed mounted projector lift allowing a hidden projector. Stage lighting was installed along with separate dimming controller to provide more room versatility.

The Georgia, Florida and Michigan Rooms are along one side of the Ohio room while the Alaska, Nevada and Jackson Rooms are along the opposite side. With the current air walls configuration, these rooms can be used independently or in conjunction with each other or the Ohio Room. Portable projectors and screens have been installed in these rooms to be used independently or they can be used in conjunction with any of the rooms with a multimedia console installed. The Georgia, Alaska and Jackson Rooms have projection systems and multimedia consoles installed that can be used independently or in conjunction with any other room. Wall mounted input plates provide connectivity for any external A/V/Computer source.

Business Center
A state of the art Business Center is located on the second floor, outside of the main ballroom. The center has four PC computers (two NMCI), a high volume photo copier/scanner/printer, fax machine, paper shredder and workspace for laptop users. The desktop computers have the ability to send documents to the printer and receive scanned documents. Laptop users have internet connectivity (both WiFi and wired), but will require the use of a desktop computer and a data transfer device (memory stick, floppy, CD Rom) to print or scan documents. Simply transfer the data from the laptop using one of the mentioned devices to a desktop computer and print. For scanned documents the same procedure is used in reverse order.

The downstairs restaurant/conference has video capability for meetings or conferences. A folding wall partition is available to provide privacy when being used for conferences. One side has a 120” projection screen and projector. The second side includes two 50” plasma screens. Each side has an input plate installed to provide connectivity for any external A/V/Computer source.

Lobby and Ancillary Equipment
Zoned paging is provided for the common areas and conference rooms. A plasma display monitor is located in the lobby and the two other main entrances to provide visitors with a schedule of upcoming events. Easy to read directional signs are located throughout the facility to assist patrons with locating their event.
