"We have been coming here for about six or seven years now and are astounded each year by all the changes. My family and I have lost our share of monstrous trout in the lake, but it always provides for some great stories around the campfire. This is a wonderful place and we'll always come back!"

Expressed by Howard and Mary Fisher of Gualala, California, “In just one day we saw robins, (blue) jays, a wild white duck with black and rust colored head and seven ducklings, black headed chickadees, some medium sized brownish/black birds that were industrious eaters, and a yellow winged blackbird. Some were seen at our RV spot and others we saw at Upper Twin Lake. The walk to the Lower Twin Lake was so quiet and filled with many kinds of mosses, ferns, and mushroom type growths. We also saw what I think was Trillium, a three leafed, three petal wild flower in pink and white. Another wild flower reminded me of home. It had heart shaped leaves and a small pansy type bloom of yellow. We just missed stepping on a two inch slug; thankfully for us and the slug. We saw his brothers with a more striped skin. We took our binoculars and should have taken our bird book – I think we need to buy a wild flower one too!

The MWR Manager showed us the newly furnished lodge rooms. We were impressed with the new furniture. It was “real log lodge” style.

All the staff and Camp Hosts answered questions ranging from laundry to tours in the area. Thanks for your friendly help. We love Jim Creek!”

Betty & Donnie Woods, as well as their guest Rose Barretta, are the first to stay in the new RV Sites. The three had an enjoyable stay and commented, "This is a great place for camping. It's convenient but rustic. The staff is excellent, very helpful and friendly. This place is NICE; I like it. It gives you the feeling of being outdoors without having to drive several hours to get here. It has all the great things to do, like fishing, hiking, plus the fitness center, etc. It's a super great place."

The icing on the cake was the staff at MWR Jim Creek; they truly are here to serve. This is an organization that has perfected its customer service.

The Staff is wonderful, the campsites are terrific and the experience is always the greatest. Once we had a problem at our site and the staff promptly took care of us. Not when they had a chance later, but they actually stopped what they were doing and took care of it right away. Now that’s Customer Service!

Dear MWR at Jim Creek:

When we made our reservations for a campsite at Jim Creek, we weren’t expecting a lot. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised.

First, the staff at Jim Creek is exceptional. They were informative, not only of what Jim Creek offers, but of what the surrounding area (offers) as well. They were also very warm and friendly.

Secondly, the Jim Creek facilities offered more in the way of entertainment and recreation than we ever imagined. Our four children completely enjoyed the Game Room with the space walk and free arcade games.

The whole family enjoyed the free movie night on Saturday night.

Lastly, the actual campsite and cabins are the nicest we have ever seen. They are impeccably clean and well kept. The way the camp and cabin sites are set up even offers some privacy; something not always found when you go camping.

All in all, our weekend stay at Jim Creek was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing get-aways we have had. Thank you goes to all at Jim Creek.
