Elwood Point is NOW open for reservations from Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend!

Elwood Point is located within the Jackson Park Housing Community on Bremerton's scenic Ostrich Bay. This waterfront park features walking paths, a playground, picnic areas, a covered BBQ picnic pavilion, a baseball field, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. The park is open during daylight hours only, on a first come, first served basis.

Rental Facilities

Use of Elwood Point is free. Reservations are for use of the covered picnic pavilion only on Friday - Sunday and are good for the entire day (dawn to dusk) once the reservation request has been approved.

Picnic Pavilion has a large Charcoal BBQ pit, picnic tables and is located near the children's playground and ball fields.

Baseball Field, Basketball, Tennis and Volleyball Courts available on a first come, first served basis only.

Reservations

Use of the picnic pavilion for private functions and parties is available for reservations between Memorial Day and Labor Day. All other dates are available on a first come, first served basis. The picnic pavilion is the only area available for reservation. The playground, baseball field, basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts will remain open to housing residents and other eligible users.

Directions

From Highway 3 take the Kitsap Lake (also Naval Hospital Exit) Exit. Follow toward Naval Hospital on Austin Drive; take a right turn onto Wencker Way and follow all the way to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign on Olding Rd., next stop sign turn right onto Dowell Rd. and then go down the hill to the last street on the left hand side and take a left onto Haven Rd. (just after the mini mart) and follow it all the way down to Elwood Point.

Car pooling to the park is encouraged. Parking is limited. It is recommended that the Person in Charge visit the park prior to the scheduled date for preview.
