The Bangor Hot Tub is closed until further notice in order to complete necessary mechanical repairs.

The Bangor Pool is located inside the Bangor Fitness & Aquatics Center in Bldg. #2700. The Bangor swimming pool is a 10-lane lap pool with 6 Lanes dedicated to lap swimming during operation hours. The remaining 4 lanes are used for recreational swimming during certain times, but can also be used for lap swimming or water aerobics. Attached to the lap pool is a 13 ft. diving well with 1 and 3-meter springboard diving boards. There is a basketball hoop and slide in the shallow area and water polo nets available upon request. The pool has fins, kickboards and pull buoys available for lap swim use as well as water aerobics equipment. During the summer, an outdoor patio with lounge chairs and tables for relaxing and enjoying the sun is available. There is also a 20-man hot tub located in a separate room just off the pool deck.

Due to the FY13 "continuing resolution authority (CRA)", Fleet & Family Readiness is required to make operational modifications in order to meet reduced budgetary guidelines. Operational modifications include changes in hours of operations and program offerings. Come join us on the second Friday of each month for our Family Friday Night Swim!
We will blow the inflatable toy up, throw all the float toys in the pool, and run some games and activities throughout the evening.

The Bangor Swimming Pool may be rented out after regular operational hours in hourly increments. Saturday and Sunday rentals are the most common, and the pool may be reserved anytime on the weekends. The pool may be rented out during the week after 7 pm.

Life jackets are available and encouraged for use by all non-swimmers. A supervising adult must be in the water to help keep an eye on anyone in a life jacket.
Cake and snacks may be brought for the party. Let us know and we can set tables up.

Swimming Suits must be worn in the pool (no cut-offs, cotton t-shirts, or boxer briefs please) |

No street shoes are allowed on the pool deck, this includes sandals that are worn outside |

The only flotation devices that may be worn are US Coast Guard approved life jackets. You may bring your own or we have some you may use at the pool. Anyone who needs a life jacket must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult age 16 or over. |

| Lil Swimmers Club |
The Lil Swimmers Club is a way for kids between the ages of 10 - 16 to come and enjoy the pool by themselves. In order for children age 10 and over to be allowed at the pool without a supervising adult on deck they must be able to pass a swim test which consists of:

An adult, or someone over the age of 16, must accompany all children under the age of 10 at all times. They do not need to be in the pool, but must remain on the pool deck.
All children wearing a life jacket must remain in the shallow end of the pool and must have a responsible adult in the water to accompany them.
An appropriate swim diaper is required for all children who are not fully potty trained, and recommended for all children age 3 and younger.
