Naval Air Station Whidbey Island will commemorate this pivotal moment in its history with the Centennial of Naval Aviation Celebration July 28 - 30, 2011, which includes the CoNA Golf Tournament July 28, CoNA Luncheon at Admiral Nimitz Hall July 29, CoNA All-Hands Reception & Barbeque July 29, CoNA Commanding Officer's Reception and Barbeque July 29 and the CoNA Fly-In July 30, which includes the CoNA Flightline 5K Run, Tales of Naval Aviation, vintage aircraft displays, heritage-themed modern jets, a Search and Rescue demonstration, a car show, concessions, memorabilia, youth activities, a motorcycle rally and other events.
