The Pacific Northwest is truly one of the military’s best duty stations with diverse outdoor recreational activities, historical and cultural attractions, outstanding educational opportunities, and warm, friendly people! Yes, it rains now and then, but Western Washington is green and lush year round because of the rain. And when the sun shines, you won’t believe the incredible views.

The Puget Sound area of Navy Region Northwest is divided into three main areas. North Sound is the home of Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island; East Sound includes Naval Station Everett; and West Sound encompasses Naval Base Kitsap (NBK), Bangor and Bremerton. If you would like to speak to someone in one of our Navy Housing Offices (NHO) directly, click on the corresponding Sound above for phone numbers and email addresses.

You can apply for PPV and MFH housing prior to departing your current command, please select Apply for Housing for additional information and forms. Select PPV (A Public/Private Venture) for more information about PPV.

Visiting the Housing Staff at one of the Fleet and Family Information Centers (available in North and West Sound) or the Navy Housing Office at Smokey Point (near Everett) is a priority when arriving at your new base.

The Navy Housing Office (NHO) Referral Services will provide all your housing options. The NHO maintain an extensive database of community rentals that can be personalized, accessing the information based on your requirements. To explore other Housing Referral Services, click here.

Your first stop for housing, the FFIC (Fleet & Family Information Center) provides a one-stop-shop for newcomers to receive information about their housing options and community resources.

The Whidbey Island FFIC is located on Ault Field.

To reach the Bangor FFIC after entering Bangor Main Gate, proceed straight ahead to Trigger Avenue (the 3rd light). Make a left turn onto Trigger Avenue, and continue ahead to the second light. Take a left at the intersection of Trigger Avenue and Ohio Street, pass McDonalds and the Chapel, and make a right turn onto Barbel Street. The FFIC is on the right in Bldg #2901.
