There's no avalanche danger where we will be, but theres always enough white stuff for snowshoeing. The experience of snowshoeing on a moonlit night is one that will never be forgotten. The deep green trees are cloaked in white, yet in the moonlight we see hues of white, black and gray. You may even find the quiet you will experience deafening. This is a Level 1 trip; it will be nearly level with a small amount of elevation gain. The distance will be less than two miles so it's a great trip for families and beginning snow adventures!

Provided: Round trip transportation, experienced guide and Snowshoe Equipment

What to bring: Please bring a daypack to carry your water, snacks and extra dry clothes, hat, waterproof snow gloves. And your camera

What to wear: Lightweight ski pants, rain pants with long underwear, snowboarding pants lined with a little fleece layer or regular trekking pants will work well. Snow in Western Washington is quite wet, so you'll want something water resistant. Layer your upper body with a quick-dry piece close to your body then a fleece jacket that can be unzipped for ventilation. You want to be a little cold when you start because you will warm up quickly. You'll want warm, waterproof boots as well. Do NOT wear cotton or jeans.
Note: Please pick up a Snowshoe Checklist available at the CZ to aid you in preparing for this fun evening. If you need ski pants, rain paints, snow boots or a daypack all are available at no cost from CZ as part of your trip fee.

Eligibility: All Department of Defense ID card holders and their guests ages 10 and up.
