FFSC Early Developmental Sign Language (Virtual)

This 90-Minute class provides parents, educators, and caregivers an overview of basic signs that are most helpful to know when working with non-verbal children or infants. It will specifically touch on the importance of signing during early childhood development stages, and the potential long-term benefits.

Thursday, May 9 | 4-5:30 p.m.

The goal is that by the end of the workshop, the participant is able to provide the tools to communicate using sign language, long before a child is talking, reducing the frustration of both parent/caregiver and child/infant. The class will highlight basic "How-Tos" for teaching children and babies to sign along with vocabulary focusing on themes like mealtime, animals, colors, family, bedtime, and more. Virtual course.

Open to active duty, reservists, retirees, and their families.
