In celebration that school is out, we invite you to kick off the summer with books and fun. This year's Summer Reading Program theme is "Find your Voice," each station will focus on how we express ourselves: art, music, writing, and dance.
SATURDAY, JUNE 24
11 A.M.-1: 30 P.M.
FREE | CAMP MCKEAN RECREATION AREA
Participants receive a "library card" and check out different books. Each station features a different book with an activity associated with that book. Once they go to each book station, they can receive a free book from United Through Reading. A tutorial on accessing the DodMWRlibrary through the Libby app will help you navigate how to enjoy free books anytime. We will also have summer musts like a BBQ (serving hotdogs, chips and a drink), bubbles, and games, all while you find your voice. Barbecue available while supplies last. Enjoy free snow cones and sprinkler play in the warm weather.
Open to active duty, reservists, retirees, veterans with VA Health ID, DoD employees, their families and their guests.
