CYP Operations Clerk
Location: Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Child & Youth Programs - Regatta Child Development Center
Pay Grade: NF-0303-02

Brief Description of Duties: Serves as a contact point for information and perform clerical and administrative tasks in support of the Child & Youth Program. Duties are related to record keeping and reporting, liaison with families and programs, and collection and monitoring of fees and supplies. Prepare and maintain reports, correspondence, and statistical and financial data. Assure accuracy of child registrations and enrollments. Ensure USDA food program records are accurate. Maintain files and prepare daily, weekly & monthly reports in compliance with policy and procedure in a timely manner. Provide front desk coverage, answer phone inquiries, collect fees and process payments.
Qualification Requirements: Must provide proof of High School Diploma or equivalent, and any additional education, certification, and or training as required prior to placement. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent AND 2 years of administrative experience. Knowledge of general office automation software, practices and procedures in order to accomplish various work assignments. Ability to maintain a computerized database. Knowledge of military Child Development Center program. Experience working military families and an understanding of military lifestyle is preferred. Experience with cash handling required. Ability to effectively communicate and follow directions verbally and in writing.
Conditions of Employment: Ability to favorably pass a drug screening and pre-employment physical and provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease. Ability to satisfactorily complete background checks to include a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).
