Pay Grade: NA-1601-03

Brief Description of Duties: This position is located within the Fleet and Family Readiness Service Center Division. The purpose of the position is to execute a comprehensive maintenance and repair program at facilities throughout all activities. Incumbent is responsible for maintenance, safety, preventative maintenance, scheduling, renovation and repair of Commander Navy Region Northwest (CNRNW) Fleet and Family Readiness Facilities to include childcare facilities, restaurants, offices, bowling alley’s recreation centers, gym, R/V Park and other facilities and grounds. Required to perform general maintenance and minor construction work and projects.

Qualification Requirements: Incumbent must have practical knowledge of civil/structural/architectural engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of duties concerned with the design, layout, and construction of N9 program specific facility structures.  Knowledge of building, safety and environment codes and regulations as well as knowledge of organization budgeting, planning and project management techniques preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of FFR service support facilities layout, standards and requirements to complete projects to improve the arrangement, reassignment or locations of materials, equipment, and personnel.   Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to the full range of engineering duties associated with broad or complex engineering studies or projects. Works under the supervision of the Facilities Projects Coordinator who provides general assignment and objectives.

Conditions of Employment: This position is subject to a background check in accordance with federal regulations.  Must have valid driver’s license to travel between job sites. Work requires regular and recurring visits to job sites to investigate, or survey in which there is considerable amount of walking, stooping, and bending and climbing is necessary.
