**Sign on Bonus of $500 after 90-day employment**

Employee renders cleaning expertise and provides adequate and timely housekeeping services. Employee privileges include access to base facilities such as gyms, recreation centers, restaurants, and discount tickets to sporting, Navy Exchange and entertainment events.

Brief Description of Duties: Performs variety of janitorial/custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe buildings, and grounds. Duties such as vacuuming rugs and draperies, sweeps, mops floors using light to heavy industrial-type equipment. Dustsand polishes office furniture, dusts ledges and woodwork; empties waste baskets, disposing of trash and recycling waste appropriately. Cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, walls and ceiling fixtures using ladders. Maybe required to move and set up tables, chairs and other equipment as required for events. Maintains restrooms in clean and sanitary condition including disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, sinks and toilet bowls, replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue and soap. Cleans mirrors and water fountains and performs light maintenance such as changing light bulbs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects, Must be able to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuumcleaners, cleaning compounds and solutions and perform minor maintenance on equipment. Ability to satisfactorily complete background checks to include a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI).

Conditions of Employment: Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying and setting up and working from ladders and scaffolds. Constantly standing or walking; frequently lifting or moving objects from 30 to 50 pounds. Work areas maybe uncomfortable, warm and noisy; exposed to minor bruises, also danger of slipping on wet floors. To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. Therefore, to the extent a Federal job announcement includes the requirement that applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to Executive Order 14043, that requirement does not currently apply. Federal agencies may request information regarding the vaccination status of selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols, such as protocols related to masking, physical distancing, testing, travel, and quarantine.
