Custodial Worker

Location: Naval Base Kitsap - All American Restaurant

Pay Grade: NA-3566-02

Employee renders cleaning expertise and provides adequate and timely cleaningservices. Employee privileges include access to base facilities such as gyms, recreation centers, restaurants, and discount tickets to sporting, Navy Exchange and entertainment events.

**Sign on bonus of $500 after 90 days of continuous employment.**

Brief Description of Duties: Performs daily housekeeping duties which includes dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming and/or sweeping, cleaning/sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen area, trash removal, checking condition of assets and reporting problems to supervisor and responding topatron requests. Demonstrates a welcoming manner and effective communication skills. Professionally interact with patrons. Provides assistance in handling customer complaints. Performs deep cleaning as required to include defrosting refrigerator, cleaning windows, carpet shampooing or cleaning. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Must have general knowledge of cleaning procedures, cleaning equipment, commonly used chemicals (including MSDS) and basic safety is required. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with management, staff and patrons. Subject to possibility of workdays on weekends and holidays, as well as, rotating shifts. Complete physical examination at a military medical facility maybe required for fitness for duty requirement. Maybe required to possess valid driver’s license as travel to other facilities within normal scope of duties may be required. This position is subject to passing a favorable national background check.

Conditions of Employment: Physical exertion is involved in standing and walking for long periods, some bending, stooping and lifting is required. To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.
