Theater Snack Bar Operator [multiple vacancies]

Location: Naval Base Kitsap Bangor - Bangor Theater

Pay Grade: NF-2091-01

This position provides quality customer service to all eligible patrons. Employee privileges include access to base facilities such as gyms, recreation centers, restaurants, Navy Exchange and discount tickets to sporting and entertainment events. Sign on bonus of $500 after 90 days of continuous employment.

Brief Description of Duties: Incumbent provides assistance in the theater operations on snack bar operation and/or ticket sales. Ensures adequate change fund is on hand; takes food and drink orders from patrons. Assists in maintaining good order and discipline. Answers patron’s question in a pleasant and courteous manner. Ensure the proper preparation, display and price marking of items and adherence to correct receipt and pricing procedures. Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained. Maintains security of building, cash, fixed assets and merchandise inventory. Complies with fire, safety, sanitation and security regulations. Rings snack bar sales and/or ticket sales by individual items, totals the sales, receives money, and makes change. Assists with coordination, operation andmaintenance of the snack bar. Provides customer satisfaction and contribute positively to the success and profitability of the program. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must have working knowledge of cash register operation and sales. Must be neat in appearance and have the ability to work with the public. Must have good customer service skills. Attend a sanitation training course in order to obtain a valid health card.

Conditions of Employment: The work is primarily standing; however some walking, carrying and light lifting (10-25 lbs.) is occasionally required in support of special events and functions. Some work during evenings and weekends maybe required. Ability to satisfactorily complete security background checks to include a National Agency Check with Written Inquiries (NACI). To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.
