Mom and Dad, got teens who clearly want a break from you? CYP offers a safe space for teens to relax and connect away from the stresses of Wi-Fi lag and room cleaning. Refreshments too!
Monday-Friday | 2-7 p.m.
FREE | Admiral Boorda Teen Center
Teens who have not already registered for CYP's Teen Program may pick up registration packets at the Litehouse or may have a parent complete a packet on-site at the event.
Open to Active Duty, retiree, and DoD civilian teens in grades 7-12.
Our youth center offers activities such as foosball, video games, air hockey, pool, team sports or online computer access. Explore individual interests by becoming involved with special interest groups, like art clubs, career clubs and community volunteering. Head out of town on trips to places like Gameworks in Seattle, local water parks, and area malls. And we have lots of cool events for teens right here at our centers, like talent shows, lock-ins and dances.
Additionally, youth programs provide summer camps, homework help and field trips. This recreation program is different from the School-Age Care program in that programs are usually a little less structured and program hours are limited to after school, early evening and weekends. The programs are planned as part of the centers' monthly events - our activities calendars note which events are open to this expanded age group.
Memberships for open recreation are free and registration is taken directly at the facility. Some fees will apply for field trips and special events.
The Youth Sponsorship Program can connect you with a peer at the new CYP program or school to help create a smooth transition.
