Family Advocacy Program
The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) supports the well-being of service members and their families while helping maintain operational readiness. The program focuses on preventing, educating about, identifying, and responding to suspected child abuse or neglect and spouse/partner abuse. This includes assessment, intervention, treatment, and required reporting.
The Fleet & Family Support Center is staffed by highly qualified, licensed counselors who work with active duty service members and beneficiaries involved in domestic or child abuse incidents. Counselors provide assessment, case management, and treatment based on the needs of each individual and family. Each counselor holds a master’s or doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology and is fully credentialed to provide these services.
